Quote Generator v1 vs v2 — which should I use?
Both generators produce professional PDF quotes. The difference is depth and time to complete.
Quote Generator v1 — use when

- The job is straightforward (panels + inverter, standard install)
- Your customer just wants a top-line price, not a full breakdown
- You already know your totals and don’t need line-item detail
V1 takes about 2 minutes to fill in.
Quote Generator v2 — use when
Section titled “Quote Generator v2 — use when”- You want to itemise every component with specs and individual prices
- The job has multiple sections (panels, DC system, mounting, labour, transport)
- You want to include string configuration and panel layout notes
- You want the after-sales package (warranty terms, monitoring access, consumer protection notice) formally included
- You’re applying for GPO group-buying pricing (GPO integration is v2 only)
V2 takes 5–15 minutes depending on how detailed you go.
Can I switch between them?
Section titled “Can I switch between them?”Yes — you can switch your default quote generator from Apps in your dashboard. Your existing quotes stay in whichever format they were created in.
Can I use both?
Section titled “Can I use both?”Yes. Use v1 for quick initial quotes and v2 when the customer is serious and wants a detailed proposal. There’s no limit on how many quotes you create with either generator.
